Der klassisch ausgebildete Komponist Carsten Schnell überraschte mit seinem Debütalbum „Adjust“ 1992 die Kritiker mit seinen ungewöhnlichen Klangskulpturen. Heute gilt er als einer der ersten Künstler bei BSC Music und als Pionier der modernen elektronischen Musik Anfang der 90er. Er hatte von Anfang an seine eigene Handschrift und wurde mit Jean-Michel Jarre und Vangelis verglichen. Auf den Alben Acoustic Delusion und U! erweiterte Schnell seinen Ansatz über die Grenzen des elektronischen Genres hinaus. Mit „Moments In The Past“ verband er schließlich seine symphonischen Wurzeln mit moderner elektronischer Musik. Danach zog er sich aus der Musik zurück und schrieb nur noch kleinere Aufträge für Theater und Unterhaltung, war aber seit seinen Anfängen intensiv mit dem Blues verbunden. Im Laufe der Jahre entstand die Idee, elektronische Sounds mit Blues-Themen zu kombinieren. So kam er 2021 mit der Single „Why do you lie to me?“ zurück und verbindet elektronische Musik mit dem Feeling des „Slow Blues“ im Stil von BB King oder Gary BB Coleman. Seine neuste Single „Dream Break“ verbindet Trance und Pop mit Blues Licks und Vocals. Nach einem kurzen Ausflug in die elektronische Musik (One Two Three) kehrt er jetzt zurück zum Blues. Mit seiner neuen Single "Another Day Another Dollar" legt er nun einen reinen Bluestitel im Stil des Slow Chicago Blues vor. Der Sound der "Lucille" wird hier ohne Gesang freigestellt und trägt die Melodie.
The classically trained composer Carsten Schnell surprised the critics with his debut album "Adjust" in 1992 with his unusual sound sculptures. Today he is considered one of the first artists at BSC Music and a pioneer of modern electronic Music in the early 90th. He had his own signature from the start and was compared to Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis. On the albums Acoustic Delusion and U!, Schnell expanded his approach beyond the confines of the electronic genre. With "Moments In The Past" he finally combined his symphonic roots with modern electronic music. He then retired from music and only wrote minor commissions for theater and entertainment, but has been deeply involved with the blues since its inception. Over the years, the idea of combining electronic sounds with blues themes came up. So he came back in 2021 with the single "Why do you lie to me?" and combines electronic music with the feeling of "Slow Blues" in the style of BB King or Gary BB Coleman. His newest Single "Dream break" combines Trance and Pop with Blues Licks and Vocals. After a brief foray into electronic music (One Two Three), he's now returning to the blues. With his new single "Another Day Another Dollar" he now presents a pure blues title in the style of the Slow Chicago Blues. The sound of the "Lucille" is released here without vocals and carries the melody.
