Der klassisch ausgebildete Bonner Komponist Carsten Schnell überraschte mit seinem Debütalbum „Adjust“ 1992 die Kritiker mit seinen ungewöhnlichen Klangskulpturen. Heute gilt er als Künstler der ersten Stunde bei BSC Music und Pionier der modernen elektronischen Musik in den frühen 90ern. Er hatte von Anfang an seine eigene Handschrift und wurde mit Jean-Michel Jarre und Vangelis verglichen. Auf dem Album „Acoustic Delusion“ und „U!“ weitete Schnell seinen Ansatz über die Grenzen des Elektronik-Genres aus. Mit „Moments In The Past“ gelang ihm schliesslich die Verbindung seiner sinfonischen Wurzeln mit moderner elektronischer Musik. Danach zog er sich von der Musik zurück und schrieb nur kleinere Auftragswerke für Theater und Unterhaltung, beschäftigte sich aber intensiv mit dem Blues seit seinen Anfängen. So meldet er sich 2021 zunächst mit der Single "Why do you lie to me?" zurück und vereint elektronische Musik mit dem Feeling des "Slow Blues" im Stil von BB King oder Gary BB Coleman. Nach 5 neuen Singles und dem internationalen Erfolg von „I Have Been Waiting“ legt Carsten Schnell nun mit seiner neuen Single „Heiss!“ nach. . Ein Track, der die elektronische Musik der frühen 90er mit dem Sound moderner Dancemusic verbindet. In Zeiten des Klimawandels werden viele Menschen an diesen Titel denken, wenn es wieder sehr heiß wird!
The classically trained composer Carsten Schnell surprised the critics with his debut album "Adjust" in 1992 with his unusual sound sculptures.
